...this was the exact same location as Basin Obloom, albeit one year later. As you can see, a whole lot more flowers the 2nd time.

To me, the amazing thing was that the conditions were virtually EXACTLY the same. Sliver of light breaks through the clouds for a few seconds with a storm sky behind. On two days in the same place almost exactly a year apart I get identical weather conditions. On both occasions the light was a surprise and I had to scramble.

I have a saying that you can't go back to get a shot if you screwed it up the first time around. Conditions are NEVER the same. It never works. Just this one time.

Incredible contrast- the mountains look as though they are glowing against the darkening sky. Truly a sensory overload of amazing colours!
