Entourage by gwrhino Entourage by gwrhino
.....so there I was at the canyon, had the 45 all set up at MatherPoint, and 20 minutes before sunset a gang of tourists climb into my foreground. So I hustle, hike about a quarter mile to to the other end of the viewpoint, find another foreground and get set up just in time, when the same group of people climb into this setup. I'm like, really? again? what'd I do?

So I just stuck a longer lens on it. Who needs foreground?

(PS just to be clear, it was NOT Vince and the gang, although it sounded a lot like them)

A couple of years ago you took some pictures of one of the fires around Flagstaff, I was wondering if you had gotten over around the fires again this year? By the way, magnificent reds in this!!

now, now, what dark little minds we have. nudge them off. listen to their screams echo interminably again and again off the canyon walls creating an audio crescendo as they plummet thousands of feet to a gory splatter on the rocky shards below. long as I get my picture...you guys are sick...

You're right. That's terrible. Now where's your cattle prod... that'll hurry them along...

No need for foreground when this scene is in the distance, great composition, and amazing deep colours!
