....a lone spirit wanders the canyon seeking release from its never ending journey across the depths....

this is a backlit virga that started out looking like a backlit waterfall pouring straight down out of a cloud. No freakin' lie. It twisted and floated, achieving a few amphoral shapes before forming what looked like a roped out twister, I kid you not. that image rocks.

I am officially naming this (like anyone care) a "Spirit Virga"

Nice article and awesome images. When I finally make it to the GC I'll be sure to follow your advice :D Could you conjure up some more spirit virga when I'm there so I can see them in person?
